Dr. Ong was appointed to the Board of Directors on 10 November 2000. Dr. Ong was last re-elected as a Director of the Company on 28 September 2004. As Executive Chairman, Dr. Ong is responsible for the Group’s strategic direction and planning, and business development.
Dr. Ong has experience in both the public and private sectors, having worked in several government ministries and held directorships in companies engaged in property, construction, engineering, hospitality and food industries. Amongst his previous appointments, he was President of China Development Corporation Limited and Deputy Group Managing Director of QAF Limited.
Dr. Ong holds a PhD in International History from the London School of Economics of the University of London, a Masters of Arts Degree in Military History from the Duke University of the United Stated of America and a Bachelor of Arts (1st Class Honours) degree in History from the University of Singapore. Dr. Ong is also a Member of Parliament for the Jurong GRC, and Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors.
Mr. Phua Chian Kin
Mr. Phua has been the Group Chief Executive and Managing Director of TEE International since 1993. He is instrumental in spearheading the expansion and growth of our Group and is also responsible for the Group’s overall management, investment decisions , direction and policy decision making.
Mr. Phua has over 20 years of experience in the M&E engineering industry, stating his career with Danish multi-national LK-NES’ subsidiaries. Mr. Phua joined Trans Equatorial Enterprises ( S.E.S ) Pte Ltd in 1990 as director, and took over the company during a management buy-out in 1993.
Mr. Phua graduated in 1979 from the Singapore Polytechnic with Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
Mr. Boon Choon Kiat , CFA , CPA
Mr. Boon is the Executive Director for the Group’s operations in Thailand.
Mr. Boon was an Export Manager with United Union Parts Co., Ltd. for two years prior to joining the TEE Group in 2000. He is the Country Director for Trans Equatorial Indochina in Thailand and is currently also the Authorised Director of Trans Equatorial Indochina Co., Ltd, Oscar Estate Management Co., Ltd., Oscar Design & Decoration Co., Ltd. and Oscar Property Management Co., Ltd.
Mr. Boon holds a Bachelors Degree in Accountancy from Nan yang Technological University, Singapore. He is a Singapore Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst charter holder.
Miss Wanida is the Business Development Manager of the Company and is also the Executive Director for Thai Subsidiaries.
Miss Wanida was an Electrical Engineer for Thai Nagano Co., Ltd. for 6 years prior to joining the Company. She has vast experience in construction management and the provision of mechanical and electrical services. She joined the Company in 2001 and is now in charge of business development of the company.
Miss Wanida graduated from South East Asia University with a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering, and Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi with a Bachelor of Technical Education in Electrical Engineering (Electrical Power).
